Course Description

 

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic fundamentals, rules, regulations, strategies, and etiquette of both individual and dual racquet sports.

 

Course of Study

 

The proposed sequential order for teaching each of these units is the introduction of history, terminology, rules and game strategy.  The development of skill acquisition will be accomplished through drills and lead-up games.  Following the successful demonstration of skills, the students will play the game.  Activities could include but are not limited to the following:
