Proposed Changes for Antioch Cluster

Due to rapid enrollment growth in the Hillsboro and Antioch clusters, Metro Schools will open two new elementary schools in the fall of 2015: one in the Antioch cluster and renovation of the historic Waverly-Belmont school in the Hillsboro Cluster.

Antioch Cluster - New Elementary School

The new elementary school in the Antioch Cluster will be located on Smith Springs Road. The new school is being designed with a capacity of 800 students and will open in the 2015-16 school year. The zone for the new school will alleviate overcrowding in Edison and Lakeview Elementary Schools. These changes are consistent with the 10-year plan for Antioch and Cane Ridge clusters and are stage three of the plan that was adopted in July 2010. On July 8, 2014, the Board of Education approved the final zoning for the new school on Smith Springs Road. See that map below:
