MLK students have volunteered their time at various places. Some of these organizations are listed below. Please contact the volunteer coordinator if you are interested in volunteering.
FRIST Center for the Visual Arts
Volunteering at the Frist Center is a great way to learn professional skils, meet others with similar interests, and build your resume for college or job applications. Teen volunteers assist in many volunteer positions including the Gift Shop and our interactive artmaking space, the Martin ArtQuest Gallery.
It is easy to get involved! Visit the Frist Center's volunteer webpage for details and an application. www.fristcenter.org/site/volunteer
Volunteers must be 14 years of age to apply.
Nashville Youth PULSE
PULSE (People United Leading and Serving Everywhere) promotes youth leadership, service learning, and civic action at both the neighborhood and citywide level through ongoing youth action projects. This is accomplished through citywide youth service learning events and the PULSE Leadership Team (PLT). The PLT is a group of high school aged volunteers who serve as advisors and organizers for PULSE as whole.
