Croft's PTO collects printer cartridges to recycle. This cuts down on waste and also is a great fundraiser for our school. Croft students get the opportunity to practice conservation and make a difference in their community and their school.
We collect all cartridges and toner cartridges (laser). This is the third year that Croft has used this earth friendly practice - we average approximately $1,200 per year for recycling these cartridges. Croft earns more money by directly returning cartridges to the recycling center than if you returned the cartridges to office supply stores.
Please encourage all Croft community members (relatives, neighbors, churches and especially businesses) to collect cartridges for us. There is a container in the front lobby of the school. Leave your used cartridges in this box or with the office.
The company that Croft works with is getting ready to begin collecting used cell phones for recycling as well. You may want to begin saving or collecting these for Croft. The company guarantees that any data on the phone will be erased. Please contact the PTO with any questions.
Croft's focus is Global Environmental Awareness. We try to incorporate our theme into all aspects of school life.
