The Stratton Elementary Library operates on an open access and flexible schedule. Students may come to the library media center at anytime-individually, in small groups, or with an entire class. They checkout and return materials, read for pleasure or information, hear stories, or research topics for reports using a variety of sources. The library media specialist and the classroom teacher plan lessons to incorporate information literacy skills and the national/state standards. Our students also participate in the Accelerated Reader Program. This is a program where student’s check out books according to their reading level and take a test to check for their comprehension. Capstone Library is also available to the public.  It is interactive books where students can read and take tests from home.  Please contact the librarian at Stratton Elementary for the user name and password.

We cherish our parent/grandparent/community relationships. If you would like to volunteer in the library, please stop by the library. We always have variety of tasks to do because we are one of the busiest places in the school. We really need your help anytime during the day. This is one way you can take an active part in your child’s learning.
