2012 Summer Schedule
*All players MUST
have a physical before participating in any summer practices. This physical
must be dated after May 1, 2012.
Before any practice
you must have a physical form (signed by physician and parents where
indicated), parent consent form, heat related illness form, insurance form
(parent signatures in all 3 places) and an emergency card. All of these except the heat related illness
form can be obtained from www.tssaa.org
click on the forms tab and scroll
down. This is a 5 page form that has
everything necessary except the heat related form (this is a metro athletics
form).
May 5th,
2012-Vanderbilt Physicals-9:30 a.m. at Vanderbilt Sports Medicine-Cost is $10
May 29th-June22- Strength
and conditioning on your own. All
players must have physical (Dated after May 1, 2012) before beginning any conditioning
program. Find a conditioning program
that will include aerobic (runs longer than 25 minutes) and anaerobic exercises
(sprints multiple times), muscular strength and conditioning and flexibility
(dynamic stretching for warm up and cool down).
You must come into practice
physically fit.
June 26- July 8- Summer
Dead Period-No Practice Allowed
Summer Practice:
July 23rd,
24th, and 26th- 6:00-7:30 p.m. West
End Middle School July 30th
and 31st Try outs
West End Middle School-5:00-6:30 p.m. August 1st-Begin
season practices 3:30-5:30 at West End Middle School. All Friday practices end at 5:00. Possible
camp or clinic dates August 1-4 (because school starts so early this may not
happen) August 4th-Field
Clean up and Parent sign up for games 9:00-12:00
Once school begins we
will practice at West End Middle School from 3:30-5:30 Monday thru Thursday and
3:30-5:00 on Fridays.
