What's cookin' in the Cougar Kitchen this year?
Cafeteria prices remain the same for School Year 2007-2008. Breakfast is $1.25 and Lunch is $2.25. Adult Lunch is $3.00. The cafeteria is making efforts to improve nutritional value and health benefits by providing a range of healthier food choices. They have removed deep fried foods and now are offering more fruits, salads, and vegetables. They also provide more nutritious foods containing more whole grains, lower saturated fats, 0 trans fats and less sodium and sugars. Mrs. Lavender (the cafeteria manager) says her goal is to help improve children's health. She invites parents and students to come enjoy breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria. The Croft Cafeteria will also be participating in the national Washington Apple Week to be celebrated September 10-14th. There will be an essay contest of 100 words or more about why apples are good for you. Mrs. Lavender promises prizes for the essay winners!
