As a result of the New Student Assignment Plan, approved by the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education in July 2008, Glendale Elementary School will no longer be a zoned school and will become a full Spanish immersion choice school in the fall of 2009. This is accomplished by creating a geographic priority zone (GPZ) for Glendale Spanish Immersion. Transportation will be provided to all students living in that priority zone (the current Glendale zone plus Edgehill) who are chosen through the lottery to attend Glendale, and live far enough away from the school to qualify for transportation.

More information is available at www.mnps.org or contact the MNPS Customer Service Center at 259-INFO (4636). You may also send questions to rezoning@mnps.org .

To accommodate this change, some students previously assigned to Glendale will be rezoned to Julia Green, and others will be rezoned to Percy Priest.

Still have questions about your child's school options? Contact customer service at 259 - INFO or rezoning@mnps.org.
