MNPS Middle College High School, established in 2006, is the fifth such school operating in the State of Tennessee. The others are:

• Hamilton County Middle College High at Chattanooga State Technical  Community College
• Middle College High School at Southwest Tennessee Community  College (formerly Shelby State Community College)
• Middle College High School at LeMoyne-Owen College
• Williamson County Middle College at Columbia State Community College
