DOWNLOAD CAMP APPLICATION *Students must have completed one school year in band before attending the camp.
** The student must commit to attend all nine days of the camp and the concert.

PROGRAM GOALS
- To provide meaningful learning experiences in instrumental music in a pleasant and professional atmosphere.
- To provide varied experiences and challenging musical activities that facilitate learning.
- To enhance group performance skills.
AUDITIONS
Seating auditions will be held on Monday, June 8th at Croft Middle Design Center. Audition Requirements are:
- 5th/6th grades: Scale – Concert B flat. The scale must be memorized and played a minimum of one octave.
- 6th graders may audition for the 7th/8th grade band, but must play the same scales required of the 7th/8th graders. The adjudicator reserves the right to place a 6th grader auditioning for the 7th/8th grade band in the 5th/6th band, if the playing maturity is not suited for the advanced group.
- 7th/8th grades: Scales – Chromatic and Concert F, B flat, G, and D. The scales must be memorized and played a minimum of one octave
CONCERT
The concert will be at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 18th at Croft Middle School Gym. **Concert dress will be dark slacks or skirts and camp tee shirts.
CAMP FEES
Camp Fee Tuition - $100 (non-refundable)
Camp fees are used to cover the cost of teachers’ salaries, music, t- shirt, supplies, guest conductor, etc. Payment must be sent with medical release form and student application. Please make checks payable to: Metro Nashville Public Schools .Camp Fees must be paid in full; partial payments or deposits will not be accepted.
