Student Government |

Student Government Executive Board members are elected to serve for a period of one school year. Eigth grade students wanting to join are encouraged to submit an application each year. All applications must include recommendations from teachers and, while previous teacher’s recommendations can be included, current teacher recommendations are a must. The rest of the Student Government is made up of two elected representatives from homeroom classes.
Members participate in a variety of activities and community events throughout the year. Activities vary since some of them are based on currently identified needs. Students also participate in additional identified roles at school sponsored meetings and events.
Members are also encouraged to show leadership by initiating individual and small group projects such as getting involved in a recycling program or volunteering in the community.
