Due to the mature nature of some of the books, the library attempts to relegate these to young adults.  Younger students, however, may read the books by getting written permission from their parents.  It is the responsibility of parents to monitor their child's reading selection.

Circulation and Selection Policy

Criteria:

1. Students may have no more than 2 books checked out at
one time; students may check out 1 magazine overnight only. Late fees ($.50 per day) are imposed for late return of magazines. It is requested that students return books as soon as students have read or accessed what they need. Reference books must be used in the LMC or classroom.

2.  Materials (print and nonprint) will support the curriculum.

3.  Materials will have been reviewed by professional resources or are from reputable publishers.

4.  Patrons may request materials; however the above criteria will still apply.

5.  Gifts become the property of the school and will be dispensed as the Library Information Specialist deems necessary. Only those materials of high quality in content and in excellent condition will be shelved for patron use. Others may be used for student projects.

6.  Books that are older, have obsolete information, or are in poor condition will be discarded.
