Ms. Thia Towns

Thia Towns began and served as the school counselor from 2004 to 2010 at Cameron Middle School. She completed one year as a high school counselor. This year she is excited to join the Rose Park family. Ms. Towns believes that helping students reach their academic potential, develop career goals, and create healthy social/emotional relationships will lead them to success throughout life.

Ms. Towns is a graduate of Stratford High School. She received her undergraduate in Psychology from Lipscomb University. Following this, she went on to receive her Masters in K-12 School Counseling from Tennessee State University and her Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.

Being in the classroom teaching is her number one priority. Along with teaching in the classroom, she develops seminars that are gender based, creates focus groups with mentors, and meets with students individually. Overall Ms. Towns wants all of her students to be well balanced and successful individuals.
