| What Does Our School Offer? |

MNPS Middle College High School offers a rigorous and challenging curriculum by affording a dual enrollment opportunity through a high school actually embedded within the Nashville State Community College campus. Students can earn their high school diploma while gaining valuable college credit hours and experience. |
This can lead to: a) a technical certificate b) an Associate Degree c) college credit hours can be applied to the general education core requirements towards a Bachelor Degree |
Qualifying students receive up to $600 per year for college hours Credits earned at NSCC will transfer to all Tennessee Board of Regents and University of Tennessee system four-year universities, as well as other colleges. However, students are responsible for obtaining verification of transfer credits from their chosen universities. | |

What Makes Our School Unique?
The mission of MNPS Middle College High School is to provide our students with the academic skills, program of studies and support to participate in a rigorous dual enrollment program, to earn both a high school diploma and college credit hours, and to bridge the gap between secondary and higher education. Students at Middle College High School may: Earn high school diplomas and college hours at the same time Attend high school on a college campus in a unique academic environment Receive academic advice from MNPS teachers who act in a dual capacity of teacher/advisor Receive one-on-one career counseling from a Certified School Counselor Take all of their classes on the campus of Nashville State Community College Take high school classes taught by certificated MNPS teachers and college level classes from Nashville State Community College faculty Use a flexible class schedule/time |

Who Attends Our School?
Middle College High School is an Option School for MNPS students who show the potential for academic success in a rigorous dual enrollment program. We accept 10th, 11th and 12th graders. During the application process, we look at many different indicators of potential success in our dual enrollment program, including current grades and transcript, ACT score (if one is available), TCAP and Gateway scores, PLAN results, letters of recommendation, behavior history and attendance. To complete the application process, a student must do the following: 1. Complete and submit the application 2. Submit a current transcript with End-of-Course Exam scores 3. Submit 2 letters of recommendation 4. Submit SAT/ACT score, if available 5. Complete an interview with the Middle College principal and/or his designee |
