DuPont Hadley Middle School’s Vision

DuPont Hadley Middle School will do what is best for students to prepare them for the next phase of their academic life.

DuPont Hadley Middle School’s Mission

  1. Each member of DuPont Hadley’s staff including administration, certificated staff, secretaries, custodians, cafeteria workers, and para-professionals help to create a safe, motivating, and rewarding atmosphere, where students learn to take pride in their education and school.
  2. Implementation of policies and procedures is a collective effort shared by each member of DuPont Hadley’s staff including administration, certificated staff, secretaries, custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, and para-professionals.
  3. Teacher and para-professional instruction incorporates opportunities for all students to be successful by capitalizing on students’ strengths and providing an actively engaging classroom environment.
  4. Teacher, para-professional, and administration collaboration provides curricular decisions based on data and diverse needs while recognizing a multi-cultural perspective.
  5. Formal and informal assessment should be a reflection of student learning and progress, which provides teachers, parents, and students with an achievement level to strive towards.
  6. Wide arrays of extracurricular activities are offered to ignite student’s interests in performing arts, and team sports which provide both a pleasurable and positive school experience. (i.e. football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, percussion ensemble, academic intervention)
  7. New technology upgrades to the school and integrating technology into the classroom has proven to be an effective method in engaging students’ participation, attendance, and overall attitude toward the academic subject being taught. Not to mention, students are fostering 21st century skills.
  8. School programs and opportunities are provided to support the emotional and social well-being of all students. (i.e. G.R.E.A.T., Love in a Big World, Connect Wednesdays, Grief Counseling, Anger Management Groups, Sexual Harassment, Conflict Resolution, Boys and Girls Nights Out, Family Math Nights, Health Nights, Evening with the Arts.)

DuPont Hadley Middle School's Beliefs

  1. All students come from unique backgrounds and bring with them diverse learning styles, qualities, and strengths.
  2. All students can learn and be successful when the certificated staff, para-professionals and students are actively engaged in the learning process.
  3. Parents, grandparents, guardians, family and friends play an active role in developing policies and procedures that produce students who are lifelong learners.
  4. Each person at DuPont Hadley is responsible for working toward this vision.
  5. Communication with parents and stakeholders is essential.
