Career & Technical Education

Philosophy

To prepare students through the integration of technical and academic skills to be successful in post-secondary institutions and/or the workforce. To encourage students to explore career options and develop the skills that meet industry standards and lead to industry certification.

CTE Quality Program Criteria:

  • Endorsed/certified teacher (including industry certification for Trade and Industrial Education teachers, where applicable)
  • Course syllabus that reflects state approved course standards and competencies
  • Names and minutes of program advisory council
  • Roster of nationally affiliated student organization
  • Current labor data that supports the program
