What Makes Our School Unique?
Joelton Elementary School is nestled in the heart of a very proud community. Joelton provides students a wholesome environment with the "traditional" school flair as well as innovative programs and opportunities to meet the needs of our ever changing society. Many residents of this community attended JES and now we are privileged to educate their children, an opportunity we take very seriously. JES encourages development of those skills necessary for our students to become responsible adults. A variety of programs and activities enhance our daily schedule. We are especially proud of our emphasis on reading through the MNPS Guided Reading Program and the Accelerated Reader Program. We believe that every student can and will Learn to Read. Joelton Elementary's faculty and staff have a commitment to excellence. We share a vision and a mission which has helped us meet AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) for No Child Left Behind.
