Honors level courses are offered within each grade level and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are in English, U.S. History, Government, Human Geography, Environmental Science, Calculus, Spanish, Music Theory, Arts History, and Studio Art.

What Makes Our School Unique?

The Nashville School of the Arts is like no other. The Nashville School of the Arts is committed to leading the nation in the integration of arts and academics. Within its walls is a community of dedicated artists that fosters a heart and soul that is immediately detectable by visitors and guests within our environment. All professionals possess an equal dedication to the arts and academics fostered within our students and the same personally professional talent on and off stage.

The Nashville School of the Arts is the only arts magnet high school within the Metro Nashville Public schools and as such, NSA offers its students the rate combination of rigorous, college preparatory curriculum instructed with intensely focused instruction in the performing or visual arts. Academic professionals consistently utilize the arts correlated within instruction. As a result, students recognize that a strong background with a comprehensive knowledge in the visual arts and sciences will serve to strengthen their artistic endeavors.

The development of long-term relationships with their professionals in addition to lifelong friendships with one another is an invaluable quality that NSA students experience throughout their high school tenure. The professionals of The Nashville School of the Arts provide students with multiple opportunities to expand their and intellectual capabilities. Through rehearsals, performance opportunities and requirements, projects, and daily instruction, the faculty fosters trust and mutual respect and admiration with students. Additionally, relationships that are cultivated between students often become a foundation for future artistic collaborations.
