What Makes Our School Unique?
Harris-Hillman serves a group of students who have very unique needs. Our staff is dedicated to providing a comprehensive program through individualized educational plans, various therapies and skilled nursing care. Harris-Hillman is very fortunate to have the support of countless businesses and organizations in the community as well as many local schools and universities. We offer numerous off campus experiences through both field trips and community-based outings. In addition, numerous opportunities exist for bringing in activities and experiences for our students.
While ensuring that basic academic needs are being met, teachers also encourage, challenge, and nurture students to go beyond the basics and develop areas of interest and talent.

Who Attends Our School?
Most students who attend Harris-Hillman School are classified as having multiple disabilities. The majority of our students have disabilities in the severe/profound range and are considered to be medically fragile. Most students require a great deal of individual care in meeting their daily self-help needs. Daily nursing support is provided for the administration of medications, catheterizations, tube feedings, respiratory therapy, and emergency care. We also have a blended Pre-K classroom that provides an opportunity for children with special needs to learn along with typical peers.
Harris-Hillman is geographically located in the Hillsboro High School Cluster. To determine where you are zoned, visit our School Zone Finder.
