| MNPS noncontiguous zones (those separated by geographic boundaries) have become zoned choice options. Basically, this means students who were previously assigned to a noncontiguous cluster in 2008-09, but are assigned to a different cluster in the 2009-2010 Student Assignment Plan, have the option of attending a school in their previous (2008-09) cluster. School bus transportation WILL BE provided for students selecting this option. Students applying for a zoned choice option must submit their applications to the district by February 26, 2010. However, the district will continue accepting applications after the deadline, as long as there is space available in the school requested. New students applying for zoned option in August may still be accepted if the requested school still has open seats.
