Grade Level Teacher Expectations
 

7th and 8th Grade Standard Policy, Procedures, and Expectations

*LOWEST GRADE ISSUED (On report card)- Grade will be what students made, and teachers allow various opportunities for students to make up the low grades.

*MAKE UP WORK: Metro Policy (However many days absent, they have that many days to make up)

*Minimum Number of grades: Metro Policy (2 per week)

*TEST DATE ANNOUNCEMENT:

How: Either Website, Classroom posting, syllabus, etc.

When: Announced at least a week in advance

*Turn Around Time for Returning Grade papers:

Two weeks maximum

*Posted To Grade Speed: Every Two Weeks

*Expectations:
-Be in class when the bell rings

-Be prepared/ have all materials

-Cooperate with others/ Respect others

-Follow all board policies…etc

-Respectful and Appropriate Behavior in Hall

(No running, no Screaming, no yelling, no fighting, no touching)

Demerits:

-Tardy without a note

-Not being prepared for class

-Complete All Work Assigned

-Being uncooperative/disrespectful with others in class or building

(ANY adult in the building, teachers, substitute teachers, teachers

aides…etc)

-Breaking Board Policy (Dress code…etc)

-Hall Behavior (No running, no Screaming, no yelling, no fighting, no

touching)

Intervention for Classroom*:

-Demerits

-Various Teacher/Team interventions (including but not limited to

isolation, reflective sheets, changing location in room, verbal warnings,

conferencing, relation ship plan…etc)

-Parent Contact Prior to Written Referral to the Office

-Written Referral to the Office (Subsequent infractions of the rules after

initial referral , will result in Additional referrals)

*Fighting and major disruptions will result in immediate removal from

classroom, and referral
