ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCIES

The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools announces a vacancy in the following position:

PRINCIPAL – CAMERON MIDDLE SCHOOL

Twelve Month Position
Salary Range: $83,227 – $98,115 (based on training and experience)

The position of principal at Cameron Middle School is a four-year appointment well suited to a collaborative, creative leader excited about building school culture as part of an innovative model for dramatic school turnaround. The principal will manage MNPS personnel and academic programs during a gradual conversion of the school to a charter school.

The principal will be part of an innovative leadership team that includes a university sponsored professional development coordinator, a charter school principal, and a school improvement program coordinator. Focusing on whole school improvement, the leadership team will coordinate appropriate division of responsibility, collaborative development of positive school culture, and creative engagement of parents and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree or above
  • License or eligibility for licensure as a principal issued by the Tennessee Department of Education
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience
