Cathie Allanson--Exceptional Education

My name is Cathie Allanson and this year I have moved up to sixth grade! I am very excited to be working with the incredible sixth grade team with my students from last year and a few new ones. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, so I am a long time Cardinal baseball fan. After attending the University of Missouri, I moved to the Los Angeles area where I taught at public and private schools. A high point was taking groups of high school students to the Yosemite Institute at the Yosemite National Park. I also completed my Master’s degree at California State University, Los Angeles.

Later I relocated to the Nashville area with my husband, Tom. We have two children that I am very proud of: Alissa, a senior, and Connor, a junior, both at Franklin High School. I taught at several schools in Williamson County before joining the staff at Croft in 2009. I am the leader of my daughter’s very active Girl Scout troop which has been together since kindergarten. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, movies, and cycling. Look for me out on the backroads on our tandem.

I look forward to a great school year at Croft Middle School. If I can be of assistance, please e-mail me at catherine.allanson@mnps.orgor call 332-0217 ext. 326.
