Comité de Padres Latinos
COPLA is an MNPS initiative that started almost four years ago to help build relationships with the parents of Latino students, who comprise 15% of the district’s student population. The organization meets monthly to share information and resources available to Spanish-speaking families, as well as to develop ways to educate parents on how to experience a meaningful, continuous involvement as a key element to their children’s success.
