Welcome to Head Middle Magnet!
Welcome new and returning students and parents!
Head’s PTSA exists to provide support to Head Middle Magnet School and its administration and to serve as a liaison for parents, but we especially strive to bring special programs and activities that contribute to a positive school culture. The PTSA makes a special effort to recognize the achievements of our students and the hard work of our teachers through special awards and recognitions. The PTSA also supports various academic programs that enhance student learning and increase achievement levels.
Your membership in the PTSA and your pledge to Invest in Excellence is needed to be able to continue that effort throughout this school year. PTSA Membership and Invest in Excellence forms can be found in the main office.
We have already begun to look at this year’s list of special events. While Head hosts many events and activities throughout the year, here are a few.
Beautification Day (Saturday, September 25, 2010 @ Head Magnet)
Every year Head hosts a beautification day along with Hands on Nashville a local nonprofit organization that helps us plant new flowers, shrubbery and lay fresh mulch. If you have a green thumb and would like to help spruce up the school, be sure to join us. Information will be sent home when more details are available.
Your generosity in donating flowering plants, shrubbery and tools is appreciated.
Fall Festival and Pep Rally (TBD)
During the month of November, Head hosts its annual Fall Festival and Pep Rally. This rally gives the students an opportunity to show their school spirit and the festival is an opportunity for the students to let loose and have fun while raising funds for other exciting events throughout the school year.
These events are two of Head’s largest endeavors and your time and resources are greatly appreciated to help make them a great success.
You can view pictures of some of Head’s many events on the homepage.
Be sure to check back soon for more information.
We hope you have an excellent year at Head Middle Magnet.
