Carrie Lunsford - CBIP Teacher  

I received my B.S. (Early Childhood Education) from Middle Tennessee State University in 1993.  I received my M.Ed Curriculum & Instruction (in ECE) from MTSU in 1998.  I have also continued my educational pursuits with a plus 30 hours of graduate study in Preschool Education Endorsement from MTSU in 2005.

I have taught for 12 years in several schools including Caldwell Early Childhood Center, Brentwood Young Children's School, Autism Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Tusculum ES, and now Shayne ES.

It is my belief that early childhood is a critical time for offering a strong foundation of learning.  A deep understanding of child development allows teachers to provide appropriate and meaningful educational experiences for young children.  Family interaction, support and communication are the cornerstone to any successful teacher.  It is a partnership between family and teacher that ultimately prepares a child for educational success.

I have two wonderful children:  Devin 14 and Jaden 11.
