The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools announces a vacancy in the following position:
SCHOOL NUTRITION ACCOUNT CLERK 11 months - Pay Grade 4 – Base Hourly Rate - $10.46
POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL CANDIDATE IS IDENTIFIED
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience in data record keeping and accounts payable and receivable processes, supplemented by a demonstrated working proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. A working knowledge of Nutrition Services operations and the EBS accounts payable system currently used by MNPS Nutrition Services is beneficial. Must have the ability to work with confidential information, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, work with minimal errors, be self motivated and pro-active. Must be able to learn and adapt to various tasks as may be needed. An excellent work attendance history is mandatory. Must be willing to be available and flexible to work outside of established work schedule as may be needed on occasion. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills necessary for assisting and communicating with 700 + Nutrition Services employees, district wide personnel, interdepartmental staff, Metro Government staff and the general public. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, set and accomplish goals. Ability to deal with complaints and find solutions that will work within established departmental and MNPS policies.
Participates in identified areas to ensure accurate and timely Nutrition Services accounts’ management. Participates in cross training to develop working skills that include but are not limited to tasks assigned to the department’s accounts payable and receivable team. Tasks will involve accurate completion of work relating to vendor payments, cafeteria equipment, inventory and facility repair processes, and U.S.D.A. donated foods. Works and interacts in a positive and professional manner with department employees, staff and interdepartmental staff. Demonstrates good judgment and follows MNPS Board policies.
