Senior Account Clerk

Transportation Department

12 Months - Pay grade 6 - Base hourly rate $12.19

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) years or more of accounting and/or clerical related experience.

Ability to operate basic office equipment, and computers.  Ability to sit and work at a computer station for up to eight (8) hours per day.  Ability to enter data quickly and accurately with finger dexterity and endurance to accomplish task as assigned.  Ability to lift and transport 20 pounds. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.  Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.  Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.

Reviews, verifies, and updates invoices and requisitions to ensure accuracy. Completes work orders by entering the work orders, requisitions, and then closing out work orders, under the EBS  and STIMS system. Performs miscellaneous office work; answers, directs and accurately records telephone calls to ensure efficient office management and maintain profession office atmosphere, assists supervisor and co-worker as required by supervisor.  Performs back-up payroll functions using the EBS systems as required by supervisor.  Controls petty cash functions as required.
