Welcome to Antioch High School!

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

 Greetings BEAR Family,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to another great school year at Antioch High School where we will provide every student with the foundation of knowledge, skills, and character necessary to excel in higher education, work, and life.  Antioch High school will create a safe, rigorous, and relevant learning environment structured around small learning communities that enhance personal growth and develop graduates prepared for post-secondary opportunities.  We are committed to being engaging and responsive to our students.       Governor's TN Promise Launch at AHS

Antioch has been chosen as the launch site for the Governor’s TN PROMISE kickoff event. Governor Haslam will be visiting 6 different schools across the state and has chosen Antioch as the high school launch site for this area. The launch will take place on Wednesday, August 20th . During the event, the governor will address a select group of 12th grade students and assist 4-6 students with completing the online application.

Watch D.O.G.S Kick-Off Event at AHS

On Friday, August 22,  we are all set to launch the Watch D.O.G.S. program at Antioch High School. WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. The two primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program are to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important, and also to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. Please come on out and support us in this initiative.

AHS has 4 Model Academies 
The following four academies listed below, which were recently reviewed by NCAC against the National Standards of Practice, have received NCACs Model Status: Academy of Automotive Technology and Design; Academy of Hospitality and Marketing; The Tennessee Credit Union Academy of Business and Finance; Academy of Teaching and Services. In addition, the Ninth Grade Academy won the award for the "Freshman Academy of the year". These wonderful accomplishments are a testament to Antioch's commitment to the most successful high school reform model in our country, the career academy.

Tutoring and Credit Recovery
Please encourage your students to take advantage of our content tutoring and credit/content recovery opportunities which will begin in September. Transportation can be arranged depending on seat availability. Students may contact their counselors for more information.

One of our fabulous students, A’nesha Fennessee, was selected as one of the district student winners of the “I Love My School” contest.
