On Friday, August 22, the Watch D.O.G.S. program was launched at Antioch High School. WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father involvement, educational initiative of the National Center for Fathering. The two primary goals of the WATCH D.O.G.S. program are to provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important, and also to provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. We invite all dads to get on board and support AHS. Please contact Antoine Buchanan for more information.

AHS student wins Ford NGL Contest
Recently, Ford Next Generation Learning conducted a contest called the "You Travel to Louisville" Contest. To enter, the students had to record a video telling Ford NGL why attending this conference was important to them, and how the Academy experience changed their lives. One of Antioch High's very own, K. Martin, a junior at Antioch High School and the Ambassador for the Academy of Hospitality and Marketing won the Ford NGL contest. He is one of 8 student leaders from all over the United States who will be attending this conference, and the only student from the state of Tennessee! We would like to congratulate him on his achievement and for having represented AHS well in this competition.
