Students shall be excluded from school temporarily if they have, or have been exposed to, certain communicable diseases. Periods of exclusion will be determined by a medical provider and a physician’s statement may be required to document the student’s safe return to school. As they deem necessary, municipalities and local boards of health are authorized to make and enforce additional ordinances, rules or regulations beyond the minimum requirements for the prevention and control of communicable diseases. MNPS will collaborate with the Metro Public Health Department regarding procedures to safeguard against the spread of communicable disease.
