Step 1

Your first step is to explore your options. One of the most important decisions families make is where they send their children to school. With MNPS, our families have the choice of sending their children to neighborhood schools or other schools throughout the district. Living in the Nashville area, you have a wealth of resources at your fingertips, so it is very important that you be educated about those resources before you make any big decisions.

The button below provides more information about the MNPS schools that will be accepting external applications. We encourage you to spend time perusing this list!

Step 2

You are searching for the school that will be the perfect fit for your child. Once you have narrowed your search to just a handful of schools, we strongly recommend that you schedule visits to these schools so that you can evaluate them in-person. This will give you a valuable opportunity to explore the facets of each school that concern you, and ask questions. For more information on how school visits work, follow the link below!

Step 3

Once you know where you’d like your child to go to school, it’s time to submit an application. Through the link below, you will find everything you need to know about applying to a school in the MNPS system.
