UPDATEWe are on Day 23 and have seemingly lost our steam and desire to win vs Waterloo Schools. :(   As of this moment they are @ 163,430 vs our pitiful showing of 158,456..... We need to rally our Matador Spririt.....Keep Voting!!

community members and J.T. Moore stakeholders:

This CAN be the headline at our school on May 1st. John Trotwood Moore Middle School has an amazing opportunity to upgrade the park area surrounding our school through a contest sponsored by Bridgestone - “Fuel the Cause – Help Bridgestone Transform a Green Space in Need”.  Bridgestone is awarding $25,000 to transform one exceptional outdoor space and J.T. Moore’s project submittal was already selected as one of the 12 finalist projects from across the United States and Canada.  Our proposal includes the construction of a community greenhouse, a playground and walking path.  The community greenhouse would be used for educating our children about healthy foods and sustainable agriculture, and the new playground would include distinctive equipment made from recycled materials.  Your vote can help to transform J.T. Moore School’s exterior for students for years to come.

Please go online to and vote for J.T. Moore Middle School’s project. Voters must be at least 18 years old with a valid email account. Each person is allowed to vote one time per day.  Voting starts April 1st and ends April 30th.  The project receiving the most votes, wins. It’s as simple as that. And we can win this, but we need you to vote every day!  We are estimating that we need 15,000 votes to contend for the prize – that’s only 500 votes per day. Stick a post-it note on your fridge or set a reminder on your phone to vote when you wake up, or at lunch, or before you go to bed…or whenever is most convenient for you. Please also encourage your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers to participate – we are going to need to tap into all of our collective networks to win this prize.  Blast the news out to your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linked In. Voters can be from anywhere as well, not just Nashville, TN.   So encourage people you know from all around the USA to participate with us.  Remember, we are competing against 11 other enthusiastic communities across the United States and Canada.
