Board Policies

The Metro Nashville Board of Public Education sets board policies and hires the Director of Schools to carry out policies. The Director of Schools is responsible for developing administrative procedures to ensure the board policies are executed. As part of its role, the Board of Education evaluates the effectiveness of its policies and monitors the work of the administration.  

Metro Schools' Board Policies are located on a site hosted by the Tennessee School Boards Association. 

Metro Schools Employee Handbook

Metro Schools staff members can read the employee handbook on My.MNPS.org, the district intranet. You must be logged in using your district credentials to access the handbooks.
