MNPS Wins Award from ACT for College and Career Readiness Work

Dr. Battle and MNPS team accepting ACT award

MNPS received a national award today for its commitment to preparing students for college and careers.

The district was recognized as a 2025 ACT Policy Exemplar at the ACT Summit, which is taking place in Nashville this week. MNPS Superintendent Dr. Adrienne Battle and other district college and career readiness leaders accepted the award from ACT, a national nonprofit organization known for the college entrance exam of the same name.

The award highlights MNPS’s commitment to engaging students, families, and other stakeholders in advancing education and career pathways for all students. ACT praised the district’s ACT Strategic Plan as “a national model for a data-driven approach to prepare all students for the rigor of postsecondary studies and the workforce” and commended MNPS for its “unwavering dedication to providing students with the resources they need to succeed.”

“Making sure each of our students can learn, grow, thrive, and move with confidence into the next stage of their life after high school graduation is a top priority for our district,” Dr. Battle said. “And our students and their families are making it happen, as we can see from our record-setting graduation rate in 2024 and our historic achievements on the TCAP this spring. I’m grateful to ACT for recognizing our achievements, to all the Team MNPS members in schools and the Support Hub who work so hard for students’ postsecondary success, and to our school board members for consistently and enthusiastically supporting this work.”
