Magnet Schools

If you're considering a magnet school for your child, you already know they offer a chance for your child to thrive in an environment tailored to their talents and interests.

Some MNPS magnet schools are academically selective. Others offer hands-on learning with themes like STEM, the arts, environmental science, or dual language.

Whether your child is starting kindergarten or heading into high school, each magnet program provides a strong academic foundation in a setting designed to inspire.

Arts Magnets

Elementary, middle and high schools have arts magnets. Nashville School of the Arts requires auditions.

Theme-Based Magnets

Optional schools do not have academic entrance requirements, but do require an application for out-of-zone students.
