The North Sports Report - March 1, 2013

Middle School Soccer – Kick Start the Season

It is game time for Spring sports with middle school competitions starting the week of March 11.  Boys soccer has a dress rehearsal of sorts with a unique Play Day scheduled Saturday March 9 at Ezell Park (the home of the Nashville Metros), 5135 Harding Place, starting at 10:00am and running until 1:00pm.  Proceeds from the event benefit local charities.

So, bring your family to Ezell Park on Saturday March 9 and get a preview of the Middle School soccer season, enjoy a grilled burger from the concessions stand (there is always a food angle), and support our student-athletes and coaches. The kids would love to see you there, cheering them on!

Antioch Lady Bears - One Win Away from the State Tournament

The Antioch Lady Bears will travel to Beech High School in Sumner County for the TSSAA Sectionals on Saturday March 2.  With a win, the Lady Bears basketball team qualifies for the state tournament.  Go Bears!

East Nashville Eagles – Soaring toward the Big Dance

The East Nashville Eagles travel to Cheatham County High School on Monday March 4 for their sectionals match-up with the season on the line.  The Eagles hope to soar and dance for the state title.  Go Eagles!

Hillsboro Burros – March Madness for the Burros

The Hillsboro Burros travel westward down I-40 to Dickson County High School on Monday March 4 with the state tourney on their mind. Win and you’re in!  Go Burros!

Some people get Spring Fever… The North Sports Report gets March Madness!
