Hillsboro art students bring home gold & silver medals

Let’s give a tip of the hat – and paintbrush – to three Hillsboro High School seniors who won National Scholastic Art Awards. The competition brings together 75,000 students with more than 100,000 works of art from across the nation. This year Hillsboro had two silver medalists and a gold medalist. Seeing as there were only four gold medals given in the entire country, that’s quite an accomplishment!

Here are their winning pieces (apologies for the small pictures).

Black Eyed Vaysha by Ava K.

A Study In Knots 1 by Emma K.

Cheekwood is the proud regional sponsor of this award, so we must thank them. They do wonderful work fostering the artistic spirit in Nashville students.

Congratulations to the winners!
