Learn more about sports concussions from Vanderbilt
Student safety is always the first priority in our schools, and that includes on the athletic field. That's one reason why we're so grateful to Vanderbilt Sports Medicine for their support of scholastic athletics. They have personnel on hand for all of our high school football games and provide affordable sports physicals for all of our high school athletes. They even display our football helmets in their offices.
The good folks at Sports Medicine want us all to know more about the dangers of sports concussions and how to identify them. They are holding a free seminar next week for parents, coaches and teachers. There are two opportunities to take part, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, and free refreshments will be provided.
