Family Matters: Engaging all parents for student success
Time is running out to register for our Second Annual Parent Engagement Summit. It will take place Friday, November 8th, from 8 am-3 pm, at the Martin Professional Development Center at 2400 Fairfax Ave, Nashville, TN 37212. This is a FREE event but registration is required. This year, our summit is called Family Matters: Engaging All Families for Student Success, focusing on engaging families of diverse backgrounds.
Our keynote speaker, Eileen Kugler, is a national expert and author on engaging diverse communities in schools. We will have sessions on partnering with parents of English learner, special education, gifted and refugee students, as well as sessions on partnering with foster parents, grandparents, divorced parents and more.
We will also talk about strategies for effective communication with families, supporting learning at home, and evaluating family engagement programs.
This is not an employee-only affair. We welcome parents and community members who care about being engaged with their schools.
Please consider joining us for the day! The link to register is here: https://familymattersmnps.eventbrite.com
