PHOTOS: Surprise! You're going to Belmont for free!

Bridges to Belmont is a one-of-a-kind program in Nashville that gives dozens of Metro students the chance to go to prestigious Belmont University for free. (Yes, free. For all four years. With lots and lots of academic and social support.)

Bridges to Belmont is in four high schools - Maplewood, Pearl-Cohn, Whites Creek and Stratford. When Stratford Principal Michael Steele was ready to announce which twelve of his students had been selected for the program, he decided to have a little fun.

This is what it looks like when students are surprised with a free four-year full ride to Belmont. Enjoy.
