Latest Academies of Nashville study visit draws crowd of nearly 400
The Academies of Nashville opened its doors earlier this month to nearly 400 people representing 26 states and 47 communities to once again showcase Metro Schools' personalized learning communities that offer rigor, relevance, relationships, and readiness for all high school students.
These study visits, sponsored by the Nashville Ford Next Generation Learning Hub, began about six years ago. Since then, more than 2,486 people from 38 states and two countries have visited the Academies of Nashville.
Participants spend three days exploring first-hand the strategies, structures, and tactics behind the success of the Academies of Nashville. During that time, they also learn from Nashville’s educators, business leaders, and community members about the elements involved and how they can replicate a similar process in their own school districts.
The next study visit, scheduled for the fall, is from September 26 to September 28. For more information about the Academies of Nashville study visits, go to academiesstudyvisit.com.
