Metro Schools To Host Suicide Awareness Community Forums
In support of National Suicide Prevention Month, Metro Schools will be hosting various events throughout the district to educate staff, students, parents and the community about suicide.
These meetings will be an opportunity to learn about suicide: how it happens, why it happens and how we can prevent it. Guests will have an opportunity to ask questions, share their stories and voice their concerns. Suicide prevention resources will also be available.
There will be four community forums held in various locations across the district:
Sept. 13, 6:30 p.m., McGavock High School
Sept. 18, 6:30 p.m., Overton High School
Sept. 20, 6:30 p.m., Hunters Lane High School
Sept. 27, 6:30 p.m., Cane Ridge High School
