Public Review for Textbooks and Materials Now Open

MNPS is hosting public review for 2019-20 instructional materials and textbooks. Visit the Nashville Public Library's main branch at 615 Church Street now through March 22 to provide feedback on these materials. Visit the 3rd floor at the Nashville Public Library and ask to view the textbooks.

Metro Nashville Public Schools is in the process of adopting new texts and other classroom learning materials for world language and social studies. These books will be introduced in the 2019-20 school year and will shape instruction in grades K-12 for the next six years.

A volunteer committee of educators and administrators in MNPS are considering a variety of materials for adoption. Public input on learning materials is an important part of the textbook and instructional materials adoption process.

Through Friday, March 22, these materials are available for review at the Nashville Public Library’s downtown branch. Anyone is able to review these materials and provide feedback.

Here’s how:

  • Visit the Nashville Public Library’s main branch.

  • Visit the reference/non-fiction desk on the 3rd floor and ask to view MNPS’ textbooks.

  • You’ll receive a paper survey and a link to a digital survey where you can provide your thoughts.

The Nashville Public Library is located at 615 Church Street.
