Visit every Metro school in one place in one afternoon at our School Choice Festival! Learn about school options for the 2017-18 school year and see why "Excellence is Everywhere" in Metro Schools!

What is School Choice?

Families with children attending Metro Schools have the choice of sending their children to their neighborhood school or to another school in our district.

What is the School Choice Festival?

The festival is the first step for families to learn about their school choices and to begin finding the right school for them. It is the only time that all Metro schools will be in one room together. Families are given the opportunity to meet teachers, learn more about school programs, sign up for school tours and visit with as many schools as they like.

Why is it important?

For families who decide to look at schools outside of their neighborhood, our Optional Schools Application will open up later in the fall. The School Choice Festival takes place before the Optional Schools Application opens to give families enough time to consider their options before making a decision.

Learn more about school choice before the festival.
