Community and Social Services
Community and Social Services for Metro Schools Families
The professional skills of counselors, psychologists, and social workers, along with school health nurses, are utilized to provide coordinated "wrap around" services that contribute to the mental, emotional, and social health of students, their families and the school environment.
Qualified professionals such as school and community counselors, school and community psychologists, school health nurses, social workers, and qualified staff from community agencies provide these services.
We partner with organizations such as: the Metro Public Health Department, Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Titans, The Southeast Dairy Industry Association, Nashville Fire Department, Nashville American Heart Association, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Community Food Advocates Cumberland Pediatric Foundation, Lipscomb University, Belmont University, Tennessee State University, Aquinas College, Nashville State Community College, and several others to deliver services to families.
There are many ways to request services and get help. Start by asking your school’s counselor or principal about these services.
