Marching into Greatness Toolkit

Nashville Public Schools has released Marching Into Greatness: Voices of Tomorrow, its second original student album, now streaming on all major platforms.

Created through the award-winning MNPS Songwriting Summit, the seven-song album features original music written and recorded by MNPS students alongside Grammy Award-winning artists and Nashville music industry professionals, including Mr. Talkbox on the title track, Tiera Kennedy on "Make It Undeniable," and Nashville School of the Arts senior Kingston Kharif on "Here."

Rather than a collection of individual songs, the album tells a larger story about growth, perseverance, belonging, and purpose — with each track representing a different stage of the student journey. All seven tracks were recorded at East Iris Studios in Nashville, with support from the CMA Foundation and the Tennessee Titans One Community Foundation.

"As people listen to this entire project, I hope they hear what is possible when we believe in students and give them the space, support, and guidance to do high-level work," said Dee Hammonds, Director of the Songwriting Summit.

The district celebrated the release with a free community concert at Rocketown on August 4, featuring live performances and the premiere of three official music videos. Stream the full album at mnps.org/departments/arts/marching-into-greatness.
