Extended Learning

Before and Aftercare - Learning Beyond the Bell

We know families need reliable, enriching options for their children before and after the school day — and all year long.

MNPS offers a variety of extended learning programs that support academic growth, spark creativity, and provide a safe, welcoming space for students outside of regular school hours.

Whether you're looking for before- or after-school care, summer opportunities, or Pre-K options, we’re here to help you find a program that fits your family’s needs.

Before and Aftercare

MNPS Office of Extended Learning delivers 21 quality before and after-school programs at schools across the district.

MNPS also partners with external providers who deliver out-of-school-time programs during the school year and summer. Many organizations offer programming at MNPS schools, while some offer programs for students at locations in the local community.

Information on these various programs and how to enroll can be found on our Before and After-School Programs page.

Promising Scholars Summer Learning

Promising Scholars offers free and fun summer learning for students from Kindergarten to grade 12 at many school locations across the district.
