Before and Afterschool Programs

Learning doesn't have to start and end when the bell rings! Before and after-school programs are a great way to learn new things, make new friends, and stay connected and engaged. From theatre to tutoring, we have something for everyone.

We've listed all our programs - and linked to partner programs across the district - so you can determine which is the best fit for you and your child.

MNPS Extended Learning Programs

MNPS offers before and after-school programs at schools across the district for ages 4 and up.
Some sites offer Pre-K care.
These programs focus on literacy, personal growth and development, STEM, academic enrichment, and physical education. Students are provided a meal or snack each afternoon. And, there also are educational opportunities for participating families
Five schools are fee-based and the others are free of charge.
Families also can find extended learning care through district partner programs.

Partner Programs

MNPS partner organizations also run a number of out-of-school programs for our students. These take place during the school year as well as summer, and at MNPS schools as well as other locations.

Some programs are fee-based while others are free. Please contact programs directly for more information about cost.

Check the list of Metro Schools' extended care partners to find a program at your school.
Visit the city of Nashville's Out-of-School Program Locator website, managed by the Nashville After Zone Alliance, NAZA, to find a program near you.
Call your child's school directly to learn if they offer any programs for students before and/or after regular school hours.
