Free and Reduced Meals

All Metro Nashville Public Schools students will receive no-cost meals during the school year thanks to the support of the MNPS Board of Education and the federal Community Eligibility Provision program.

And, while student meals are no-cost, families who may quality for free and reduced meals and whose students are not attending a CEP school are encouraged to submit a Meal Benefits Application because qualification helps connect families to things such as:

• discounts for fees associated with college applications
• scholarships and fee discounts for SAT, ACT and AP tests
• greater federal reimbursement to provide for program improvement

Free and Reduced Lunch Application

• If your child attends a Metro School that does not have the Community Eligibility Provision, you can apply for free or reduced priced lunch. 
  • The online application is available in several languages and will be available closer to the start of the school year. 

Community Eligibility Provision

Check the school lists to see if your child's school offers the Community Eligibility Provision. 

Food Assistance

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, provides nutritional assistance benefits to children and families, the elderly, the disabled, unemployed and working families. The Tennessee Department of Human Services also offers information for Disaster Assistance for which you may qualify.
