What's on the School Menu?

The meals we prepare for our students emphasize a diet that includes a variety of vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and lean proteins.

We also limit foods high in saturated and trans fats, added sugars, and sodium, and our menus are planned in alignment with the nutrition standards established by the United States Department of Agriculture.

Items included in each meal

Breakfast

An entrée, fruit juice, fresh fruit, milk

Lunch

An entrée with bread, hot vegetables, tossed salad or veggie cup, fruit and milk or
Chef salad, fruit, and milk.

Allergens

Menu items may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and soy. For more information, please contact the Coordinator of Nutrition Education & Training, (615) 259-8473.

If your child has an allergy, please complete this Medical Statement for Meal Modification form and return it to your student's school.
